The State Government of Tamilnadu has selected Dr.P.S.Navaraj Yadav as the Best Educationist in the year 2007-2008. Out of six educationists selected , two were from colleges . This is the first time a college professor was awarded as the Best Scholar by the state government. Dr.P.S.Navaraj, Reader in Zoology , Yadava college , Madurai, Tamilnadu has been selected as the only science faculty for this coveted and prestigious award . Dr.M.Karunanidhi has presented him a certificate and a cash award of Rs 25000 at Anna University on 1st Sep 2008. This is really a credit to the college and community. Dr.P.S.Navaraj has submitted this coveted award to the Lotus feet of Om sri satya sai baba. Moreover Dr.Navaraj has dedicated this award to the unshaken love shown by his parents Late .M.P.Samy Konar and his ailing mother S.Mookkammal.
